Lithium costs more upfront but lasts far longer, charges faster and needs no maintenance. Tubular is cheaper to start with. For daily load shedding, lithium usually works out cheaper over its life.
How many hours of backup will I get?
It depends on the battery size and what is running. We calculate it from your list of appliances and show the expected hours in your quote.
Is battery backup cheaper than running a generator?
For daily load shedding it usually works out cheaper over time. A generator needs petrol or gas, servicing and a lot of noise, while a battery system charges from the grid or from solar. We compare the running cost for your load in the quote.
Can I add solar panels later?
Yes. We install hybrid inverters that accept solar panels, so you can add them later without replacing the inverter.
How long do lithium batteries last?
Good lithium batteries are rated for thousands of charge cycles, which typically means many years of daily use when charged within the right limits.
Do you replace batteries in my existing UPS?
Yes. We test your current batteries, tell you honestly if they can be saved, and replace them with tubular or lithium units that suit your UPS voltage and load. Old batteries are taken away.
Can my AC run on battery?
An inverter AC can run on a properly sized lithium bank, but it uses a lot of energy. We will tell you honestly how long it would run and whether solar makes more sense.
